Practical Info
Thun Castle can be reached by leaving the A22, Brenner motorway at the S. Michele all’Adige exit and then following the SS43 from Val di Non to Vigo di Ton – location on Google Maps.

PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY
Visiting Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento and its related sites Thun Castle, Beseno Castle, Caldes Castle and Stenico Castle may pose challenges for anyone with mobility difficulties.
THUN CASTLE
Thun Castle has stairs and other physical barriers and there are no elevators.
The last stretch of pedestrian road leading to the entrance has a steep slope, cobblestone ground, and uneven terrain in places.
In any case, it is recommended you contact the Museum (tel. +39 0461 492811 and dedicated email address) for more precise information regarding access arrangements.
OPENING TIMES
Thun Castle is CLOSED on all non-holiday Mondays, December 25, and January 1.
EXTRAORDINARY OPENINGS: Monday, April 21st, Monday, June 2nd and Monday, December 8th, 2025, and every Monday in August 2025.
N.B. Last admission to the Museum is half an hour before the closing time.
SUMMER SHUTTLES: in the summer period, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. there is a shuttle bus service with route: Vigo di Ton square – Thun Castle car park and return at a cost of 1,5 euros per person.
- GROUPS during weekday closing (except Mondays) only organised groups of at least 15 people or schools may visit Thun Castle by prior request and upon payment in advance by bank transfer;
Please note that for organisational reasons, you are required, during the 48 hours before your visit, to send a written request to the dedicated email address or telephone +39 0461 492811 (from Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. -1 p.m.); - prices and times may change, because of temporary exhibitions;
- PHOTOGRAPHS and video recordings for editorial, advertising and commercial use are only permitted with prior authorisation;
- DOG-FRIENDLY: all dogs may enter the museum gardens provided they are kept on a leash. Only small-sized dogs are allowed to enter if always carried in arms or in a carrier.

On closing days (except Mondays), it is possible to visit Beseno Castle, Stenico Castle, and Thun Castle upon advance payment via bank transfer. Please note that, for organisational reasons, a written request must be sent to the dedcated email address or by calling +39 0461-492811 (form Monday to Friday 9 a.m – 1 p.m. ) at least 48 hours in advance.

Two adults with minors (up to 18 years): Pay only two full price tickets for the whole group: 16,00 €
One adult with minors (up to 18 years): Pay only one full price ticket for the whole group 8,00 €

For holders of the Family Card and the Euregio Family Pass: Reduced price tickets for the parent(s) accompanying one or more children under 18.
Groups
Groups of at least 15 paying visitors (combined ticket for 5 locations does not grant access to the Museum): 6,00 €

- if an invoice is required, please fill in the form for the desired location and send it to the dedicated email address at least 5 working days before the date of your visit, indicating the method of payment:
