Historical Photography

The Photographic Archive boasts more than 13,000 images, including photographs, positives, negatives, albums, and postcards.
The collection originated in the post-World War I period as a tool serving the Superintendency and the National Museum, institutions responsible for the protection and enhancement of Trentino’s cultural heritage.
Today, its consultation allows for multiple avenues of investigation, ranging from the history of the territory and cultural assets to that of the museum. It encompasses the most recent transformations of the Castello del Buonconsiglio and the work of the key figures in regional photography.
